I have a 60 inch plasma sitting on the stand and it holds it great. I considered buying a glass top stand and my wife was worried about the weight of the TV on it so I went with this one. The weight of the TV is not an issue with this stand. It's sturdy and finished really nice too. It came with nice cover plugs to cover/hide the nuts that hold the pieces together. It arrived packed in an excellent manner and the finish was pristine (no nicks, scratches, scuffed corners , etc.). I did not install the glass doors due to having a small child who would love to open and close it hundreds of times per day. The glass was in perfect condition though (checked it before putting it away for future use). I'm going to take some black hobby paint and color in the shelf holes that are not used so they are not visible. It's not obvious though. The bottom has plastic feet that are rounded and having wood floors it slides really easy when I need to pull the stand out to get to the back of my equipment. This is probably the biggest plus I'd say. I would imagine it would slide just as easily on carpet too (have someone hold your TV while doing it though). It probably took me 30-45 minutes to put together. Lay it on a blanket so you don't scratch the finish. The backing sits with at least an inch to spare at the top so you can snake wire out the back without having to drill but at the same time you can't see open space from any sitting angle. As another reviewer said, use an electric drill to save time. For the price I thinks it's great. There were a lot more expensive model that I don't think were any better. I'm glad I purchased this stand.
